Longlands Farm is set in the beautiful Essex countryside on the periphery of Great Leighs, near Chelmsford in Essex.
This former pig farm is set in approximately 6 acres, with mature hedgerow boundaries, offering a tranquil and private space for our guests.
We offer a camping space for members of the Caravan and Motorhome Club, limited to just 5 units at any one time. These pitches are set on grass, within a 3 acre paddock with wildflower meadow in the summer months
We are open from April to October, dependent of course on the ground conditions.
The facilities include electrical hookups, a small washroom, washing up area, and a shower.
A woodland nature reserve is literally a two minute walk away through a pedestrian gate.
There is a small 2 bedroom cottage (sleeps 3) available for guests to rent on a self-catering basis. This has a lounge area with log burner, WiFi and satellite and internet TV, a fully equipped kitchen, and of course a bathroom with shower and bath. It is available throughout the year.
For Guide and Scout groups only, we offer a camping field for tents. This area has been conceived by the owner who is a Guide unit leader of more than 30 years’ experience. There is a small washroom with a shower, washing up area and adjacent WC waste disposal. A large barn is available in the event of wet weather.
The site is private and secure behind locked gates. Advance booking is required in all cases.
